System Sensor 5601A Heat Detector are ideal for fire protection in electrical rooms and for areas with high dust particles concenration The 5600 series offers a full-line of configurations to accommodate a broad range of applications. Not only is the 5601A a self-restoring heat detector, it's also a Rate of Rise detector, the rate-of-rise element responds to a rapid rise of temperature, approximately 15ºF (8.3ºC) per minute. If this happens, a diaphragm is depressed, and the electrical contact closes the circuit. The 5600 series easily mounts to single-gang and octagonal back boxes. These models accommodate 4" square back boxes, when used with a square to round plaster ring. The reversible mounting bracket permits both flush, and surface mount back box installations. The 5600 series provides clear markings on the exterior of the unit to ensure that the proper detector is being used. For use with conventional fire alarm systems.
